Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the cool air. Hello good hair days, I’ve missed you. I love the click of the bootie heels and the crunch of the crisp leaves. I love dark nails (Linkin Park After Dark, what what), taking Riley and our pups, Boh and Lucy, for long walks, and hot chai lattes. Being outside is so much more enjoyable (and not having to shave your legs every. single. day. is always a plus ;)).
These are some of the trends I am digging this season…
1 // Detailed Sleeves
I’ve always loved embellished, feminine sleeves and am so happy this is a trend this season. You can find them everywhere at all price points. I just bought this sweater (under $35 and so soft!) and can’t wait until the weather is cool enough to bring out. I also bought this long sleeve tee and have already worn it a hand full of times. Great staple. Scroll my picks below.
2 // Hats
Hats aren’t for everyone. I like to think I am a hat girl and have invested in a few over the years only to look at myself in the mirror and take it right off. Well, not anymore! I want to be a hat girl, so I am going to be a hat girl. I’m obsessed with the fedora trend and love how it instantly jazzes up any outfit. A beanie is always a good idea, especially during those bitter cold, and bad hair, days.
3 // Leopard
A pop of leopard is the best accessory. If you looked at my fall/winter wardrobe you would see a lot of neutrals: blacks, whites, tans, etc. That’s why I love throwing on a little bit of leopard to add character to my outfits. Try some of my favorites below!
4 // Long + Chunky Cardigans
I know cardigans have always been in style, but this season I’m seeing a lot of long and a lot of chunky knits and I am completely digging it. Keep those summer camis out this season, ladies, and throw on a pretty, cozy cardi to keep you warm and instantly put together.
5 // Bordeaux
This is definitely the color of the season, every season. It just screams fall. It’s a great neutral that can be worn in many combinations, but adds a little pop of color.
