Embroidered Dress // Family Photos

Embroidered Dress // Family Photos

We took family photos last weekend. I had this vision in my head of how the photoshoot would go. Riley, the hubs and I, walking through the park, smiles on our faces, frolicking in the leaves, laughing and having a grand old time. Well, long story short, Riley started off having fun but mid way through threw a temper tantrum and spiraled the rest of the shoot. We haven’t seen the photos yet, but half of them will be of Riley holding my wallet (she’s obsessed, I don’t know why) and the other half will be of me sweating from running around trying to calm Riley. #parenthood

After the chaos, we were able to snap a couple of photos back at home (sans headband, notice it around my wrist). I decided to wear this beautiful Free People dress. I usually stay away from flowy dresses in pictures, but the detail and fit of this dress are so good, I couldn’t resist. I paired it with black booties to dress it down a bit.

Anyone else ever have a family photoshoot fail? Please tell me I’m not the only one πŸ˜‰
